Boatyard distillery is situated on the banks of Lough Erne, Country Fermanagh, North West Ireland. Boatyard is Fermanagh’s first legal distillery since 1890.
The distillery opened for business in 2016 when Joe McGirr , after having worked for 10 years at The Glenmorangie Company, decided to go back to Ireland and his native Fermanagh to set up a distillery.
Boatyard distillery is a family business and it is named from the disused boatyard that it’s built on.
Striving for sustainability and excellence all ingredients used are 100% organic, labels are hand printed in a 1960s letterpress and applied by hand.
Last but not least distillation takes place in a Copper Alembic Pot Still, which is responsible for the unique style!
